Tisch Baseball Academy Newsletter - July 2026

Dear Players, Parents, and Supporters,

Summer is flying by, and our athletes continue to make the most of every opportunity to improve. With extra time to train, compete, and refine their skills, this is one of the most important periods of the year for long-term development. In this month's newsletter, we're sharing player highlights, academy updates, and what's coming up as we prepare for the fall season.

⚾🏆 Player of the Month: Luca Jacoby

Player of the Month Tyler from Westview High School pitching a baseball.

Congratulations Luca! 👏

Luca has had an outstanding summer, putting in the work both during training and in competition. His dedication and commitment to getting better have translated into success on the field, where he’s competed in multiple tournaments and had strong performances on the mound.

In his latest start, Luca pitched 5 innings, allowing just one walk and striking out 8 hitters. His ability to attack hitters and compete every pitch has led to his success. We are proud of his progress as he continues to prepare for his Sophomore season.

Luca's commitment to consistent training is a great example of how small improvements each week can lead to big results over time. Keep up the great work, Luca!

Behind the Stats

Coach Tisch: What made you decide to sign up for Summer Velocity Camp?

Luca: "I wanted to gain an edge over the competition and become an elite pitcher.”

Coach Tisch: What was the biggest thing you changed about your training or mechanics during camp?

Luca: "I became more committed to my training, focused on improving my mechanics, and started lifting weights more consistently.”

Coach Tisch: How much did your velocity improve from before camp to now? Any numbers you can share?

Luca: "I increased my velocity by 3 mph.”

Coach Tisch: How has that improvement shown up in games this season?

Luca: "I’ve had more strikeouts, better command, and more confidence on the mound.”

Coach Tisch: What would you tell a teammate who’s thinking about doing the camp next summer?

Luca: "If you’re serious about taking your pitching to the next level, I highly recommend it. The camp helped me improve my velocity, mechanics, and overall performance on the mound.”

💡Pro Tip from Coach Tisch

The best players aren’t limited to one position. The more positions you can play, the more valuable you become to your team.

💥 Hitting Tip: Swing with intent and look to drive the baseball.

🔥 Pitching Tip: Attack the strike zone and challenge hitters.

🧤 Fielding Tip: Get your feet moving early to create better fielding angles.

Fall Ball is Coming Soon!

With tryouts approaching, August is a great opportunity to focus on the specific skills that can help you stand out during try outs. Players who stay active usually enter Fall Ball with a significant advantage.

Whether it’s tightening up your swing, tweaking your pitching mechanics, or cleaning up your footwork for fielding, now is the time to book specific baseball lessons.

One Coach. Every Skill. Total Development.

Most academies require you to find a different coach for each skill—one for hitting, another for pitching, and another for fielding. At Tisch Baseball Academy, your player can develop every aspect of their game with a single coach who provides consistent instruction and a personalized development plan. This unified approach means less confusion, less travel, less coordination, less time, and more progress---plus coaching that truly fits your athlete’s needs.
